My Story

I was born in Nova Scotia and grew up outdoors on the Big Island of Hawaii. In 1991, my family moved to Canandaigua, and the Finger Lakes have been home ever since. I earned my BFA and MFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Making at RIT, where I learned to look closely at how things are built.

My husband Joon and I spent 12 years restoring a home in the City of Rochester. Today we live in Lima with our three kids in a 1793 brick Federal on 14 acres, with a barn and animal paddocks. I’ve lived the work of caring for a house, and I know what it gives back.

Twenty Years of Service Before My First Sale

Before real estate, I managed a small medical office for 20 years. Patients came back because we remembered them, followed up, and never left them guessing. I run my business the same way.

In 2025, that approach earned me a KWGR Silver Solo Agent Award and a #205 ranking by sales volume among 2,500+ Greater Rochester Association of REALTORS®.

How I Work

  • You’ll understand every step. From contract to close, I explain what’s happening and why, in plain language.
  • Your budget is respected. I’ll help you find a home you love and can comfortably afford.
  • Sellers get two sets of eyes. I stage my listings personally, using my own staging inventory. If you’re living in the home, I bring in my staging partner, Mary Beth [last name]. She’ll suggest what to move, remove, or add, so you get honest advice from someone other than me. I supply the extra pieces. It’s all part of my service.

Working with Dayna Orione-Kim to sell our home was an outstanding experience. From the beginning, Dayna demonstrated exceptional professionalism, market knowledge, and dedication to achieving the best possible outcome.
One of the things that impressed us most was her ability to generate significant excitement around our listing. She arranged for high-quality professional photos that showcased our home beautifully and helped it stand out to potential buyers. Her marketing strategy created strong interest right away, leading to numerous showings and excellent exposure.
Dayna guided us through every step of the process, communicated clearly, and was always available to answer questions. Thanks to her expertise and attention to detail, our home sold very quickly and the entire transaction went smoothly.
If you are looking for a knowledgeable, hardworking, and results-driven real estate professional, I highly recommend Dayna Orione-Kim. We are incredibly grateful for her support and couldn't be happier with the experience and outcome.                - James Smith

Dayna is an amazing woman! She is so knowledgable, and passes that on without being condescending. Her personality is warm, friendly, and open-minded. She's very generous with her time, both in quickly replying to questions, and by her hard work staging. The staging she does is fabulous! I'm sure that's why we were able to sell our house way above our asking price. We sold very quickly because of her work. We highly recommend Dayna to anyone looking to buy or sell.                                                                               - Monica Kress

Dayna Orione-Kim was our real estate agent for a private home sale in Lima, NY. Hiring her was the smartest financial decision we ever made. We are senior citizens and it had been many years since we had last sold one of our homes. Dayna walked us through every step of the sale with clarity, patience, kindness and honesty. She made the move so easy for us. She shared her considerable real estate experience and made sure that we received the best price possible. Dayna Orione-Kim is quite simply THE FINEST real estate agent we have ever met. She also became a life-long friend!!!                                                                                                                                                    - Dick and Judy Longhouse

Why Advocacy Matters to Me

I didn’t learn I was dyslexic until I was 42. All three of my kids learn differently too, so I know how much the right support can change everything. I’m always glad to help another parent navigate the special education process.

I’m also committed to fair and equitable housing. I’m in my second year on our REALTORS® board’s Professional Standards Committee and serve on the Professional Development Committee. I’ve also served as Secretary of our Pride Caucus and on the Equitable Opportunities in Real Estate Committee.

Where I Work

The City of Rochester, all of Monroe County, and parts of Wayne, Livingston, and Ontario counties, including Honeoye Falls, Lima, and Canandaigua Lake.

When I’m Not Working

You’ll find me spending time with my family or working at my bench making jewelry or art. Or, honestly, designing new marketing materials because that is my main creative outlet now.
